Focuses more on execution – Omkar Salvi highlights Bhuvneshwar Kumar's strengths

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been one of RCB's major weapons. In 2025, he claimed 17 wickets at a strike rate of 18.35, striking in clutch junctures to dent the batters' scoring rate. He was equally brilliant with the new ball while adding significant sheen to the death overs as well.

Plenty of runs were scored in the practice match played by the RCB players. But Bhuvneshwar Kumar looked solid in his spell of 1/27 from three overs, using lethal variations while very adroitly navigating the batters' hitting arc.

Talking on RCB Bold Diaries, RCB’s bowling coach, Omkar Salvi opened up on what makes Bhuvneshwar Kumar lethal. He highlighted Bhuvi's experience as a key factor in shaping those spells at crucial parts of the game.

Salvi said, “Of course, everyone knows that Bhuvi has a lot of experience with him. He has gone through so many situations which helps him handle those clutch moments in the game. And that is what Bhuvi is all about. He focuses more on execution and keeps it very simple. He backs himself to pull off executions well.”
