Everyone has a different approach in Test cricket – Dhruv Jurel on his stance in Test cricket
Dhruv Jurel looked in great shape as he smashed his second Test century. Batting with a lot of confidence in Colombo, he came together with Rishabh Pant and the two made absolute merry as the visitors looked in total control. Talking in the presser at the end of the day, Jurel opened up on his chemistry with Rishabh Pant and why he loves to bat alongside the hard-hitting southpaw.
Talking about his own strokeplay, Jurel said, “Everyone has a different approach in Test cricket, and that is what makes the format beautiful. For instance, Rishabh Pant and the way he plays is terrific. He carves his own shots, and he still scores tons of runs. I do not play like him.”
Shedding some light on his chemistry with Pant, Jurel added, “I can play only in the way that I have played since my childhood, whatever my gameplan is, I stick to it. Obviously, if you ask about experience and which bowler I want to take down or whose spell I want to attack, I always ask Pant bhai because he is a keeper and I am also a keeper and we are both middle-order batters and that allows us to get some chemistry in play.”
