Dhaka and Chattogram to play host to India versus Bangladesh in December
As India is scheduled to tour Bangladesh later in the year, the venues for India’s outings were announced by the BCB. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) divulged the tour schedule on Thursday with Dhaka given all three ODIs and one Test while the remaining contest will be slogged out at Chattogram.
The tour will be kickstarting on December 4th with the 3 ODIs. The first will be played on the aforementioned date while the second and the third will be played on the 7th and the 10th respectively. The caravan will then shift to Chattogram for the opening Test while the players will return to Dhaka for one final time on the tour to play the last Test of the series.
The first Test will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium from December 14th to 18th while the second Test will start on December 22nd.
The Test series will be a crucial one for the Indians as they are currently occupy the fourth place in the points table as their win percentage of the ongoing cycle has been a modest 52.08 while Bangladesh is in the ninth position of the championship with a win percentage of 13.33.
The last time India toured Bangladesh was back in 2015 when they played a Test that was drawn while the hosts managed to clinch the ODI series by a 2-1 margin.
