Curtly Ambrose picks Virat Kohli as one among three batters he would love to bowl to

Legendary West Indies bowler, who left bowlers in utter terror during his heydays, has picked three batters from the current generation whom he would have relished to bowl to.

Ambrose, who was one of the most decorated bowlers of the West Indies back in the day, claimed 405 wickets from 98 Test matches. He closed his international career with numbers of 630 wickets at an average of 22.11.

In a media interaction with ANI, Curtly Ambrose, when asked to name three batters he would love to, said, “Virat Kohli, Joe Root and Steve Smith”.

He also talked about how bowlers in the current generations are celebrated way less than they should be.

Ambrose added, “Yes, I feel so sometimes. I have been in cricket for so long. Most of the time, if you ask someone their favourite cricketer, they would name a batter. I have played some great matches with them, and I admire them. But as a former fast bowler, I will lean towards the bowlers. Wasim Akram is one of my favourite fast bowler.”
