Rajat Patidar and Venkatesh Iyer share a deep Madhya Pradesh connection that extends to RCB. Both Patidar and Venky hail from the same state and were teammates on the state team. While Patidar has been sensational this ongoing season, Venky Iyer has already left a lasting impact in his solitary appearance for RCB this season. On the latest episode of RCB Bold Diaries, the two MP lads opened up on mutual admiration for each other.
Expressing his adulation for Venky, RCB captain, Rajat Patidar said, “I mean everyone knows about Venky, the way his skills are. I think he will further strengthen our team. And from here, we have one more player in the team, to help us win the IPL trophy. He possesses those kind of skills.”
Reciprocating his love for Rajat, Venky said, “He's been very nice. He was the first one to formally welcome me in the squad. He did not give me any idea that his team was gonna bid for me, so he keeps secrets very well, but yeah, he's had honest conversations about how we're going to approach this season.”
Venky concluded by saying, “And knowing him since childhood, I think he's someone who believes in making plans then and there rather than, you know, thinking of a lot of strategies. He likes to keep things simple, and I think that's his biggest strength. So I think our conversations have been exactly that, very simple and vanilla, but both of us are extremely excited to go in as defending champions and go for glory once again.”.
