He turns 32 today. The legend, the chasemaster. But which innings do you recall when you hear the name, Virat Kohli? It seems pretty hard to distinctly identify one. Isn't it? However, there is one such knock that urged us to recognize that he's destined for greatness. Yes, you heard it right. The picturesque Blundstone Arena in Hobart stood witness to this batting spectacle. Virat Kohli's 133* against the fearsome Sri Lanka bowling attack remains one of his finest knocks. A shot that still stands out in our memory was a flick over the mid wicket fence.

His exquisite cover drives, wristy flicks and crunching backfoot punch are second to none. One thing that has always stood about his batting is his ability to thrive under the toughest of situations. Even adjectives fall short if we start describing this man, so we'll let the numbers speak for themselves.

The Number Game

Virat Kohli has amassed runs against all the teams he has played, but his association with Aussies is the highlight of his illustrative career. The statistics are astounding, to say the least. In 75 innings, he has piled 4,098 runs, garnering 15 centuries and 18 half-centuries against Australia across all formats.
