BCCI announces India A squad for England series starting from 12th January
The BCCI senior men’s selection committee headed by chairman Ajit Agarkar announced a 13-man squad India A squad for a red-ball home series against England.
The tour will kick-start with a two-day warm-up match that will be starting on January 12th and will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium Ground B in Ahmedabad. The first four-day match which will start on January 17th will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
BCCI’s latest release said, “The Men’s Selection Committee named a 13-member India ‘A’ squad for a 2-day warm-up fixture & the first multi-day match against England Lions. India ‘A’ will play a total of 3 multi-day matches in the tour.”
This is going to be a massive chance for the Indian youngsters to showcase their talent in order to grab a spot for the Indian middle-order. With Rajat Patidar, Sai Sudharsan, Sarfaraz Khan and Pradosh Paul in the side, it clearly is an indicator of the fact that BCCI wants to get hold of the best of the lot when it comes to manning the Indian engine room in Test cricket.
