BCCI announce India squad for Zimbabwe T20Is
BCCI announced the Indian squad for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour which is slated to be played later in July. Six changes have been made to the squad that is currently plying its trade in England.
India have excluded Sanju Samson, Harshit Rana, Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi. They were replaced by the incoming Rinku Singh, Mayank Yadav, Prabhsimran Singh, Yash Thakur, Ashok Sharma and Harsh Dubey.
Prabhsimran Singh and Ashok Sharma were all a part of India’s victorious campaign against Sri Lanka while Harsh Dubey got his international debut in the ODIs against Afghanistan.
Prabhsimran was the leading run-getter for PBKS in IPL 2026 while Ashok Sharma’s brutal pace in the fray was equally noteworthy.
In another development, Virat Kohli was also cleared to play in the ODI series against England, as he recovered from a hamstring injury copped during the IPL 2026 final.
India’s ODI series against England will be concluding on July 19th after which they will be travelling to Zimbabwe. The first T20I will be played on July 23rd followed by games on July 25thand 26th, all of which will be played in Harare.
