Avesh Khan reveals what Virat Kohli told him during IPL
Virat Kohli is a fierce competitor be it in the Blue of Team India or the Red and Gold of RCB. While, Kohli puts a price on his wicket every time he steps onto the field, he always bears in mind that as the skipper of the Indian team, he also has to spot and nurture the talent.
It’s one of the reasons Virat loves talking to the youngsters from other teams too in the IPL.
Avesh Khan was a revelation in IPL 2021. He has been around for a few years but in this season, Avesh bowled with superb control while maintaining ferocity.
The youngster dismissed former India captain MS Dhoni as well as current India captain Virat Kohli in the matches that he played against the sides led by the two legends.
While speaking to Cricket Next, Avesh Khan revealed the interaction he had with Virat in the game that went RCB’s way by a run.
“I spoke with Kohli during IPL when DC played RCB. He told me that I bowled well and should continue doing this.”
Avesh is all set to travel to England with the Indian team, after being named as standby alongside Prasidh Krishna and Arzan Nagwaswalla.
The right-arm pacer made the most of his opportunities by picking 14 wickets in eight matches, joint second-best with Rajasthan Royals' (RR) Chris Morris and behind Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) Harshal Patel.
