Agarkar is hopeful of Virat Kohli scoring a triple hundred in Tests
It’s the season of T20s with the world gearing up for the Indian Premier League, but it’s never a bad time to talk about a bit of Test cricket especially when it involves India captain Virat Kohli. Former fast bowler Ajit Agarkar hopes that Kohli will be able to score at least one triple hundred in Test cricket before he hangs up his boots.
Kohli sits atop many records but Agarkar thinks that he will add one more feather to his cap by crossing the magical mark. Till date, just two Indians, Virender Sehwag and Karun Nair, have been able to achieve the herculean feat. Kohli has seven double centuries to his name, with the highest being a 254* not out against South Africa.
Virat Kohli has broken many records in his career but Agarkar hopes that the Indian skipper would be able to add one more feather to his cap.
"I hope Virat Kohli gets a triple hundred in Test cricket before he finishes his career. We have had three so far from Indians, two from Virender Sehwag and one from Karun Nair.
But for all the achievements that Virat Kohli has had, and clearly he has enough energy to go and get that triple hundred," Ajit Agarkar said on Star Sports show Cricket Connected.
“I hope he does that before he ends his career. But look there are going to be a few records that are going to be broken before he finishes," he further added.
