Next four games can make or break our tournament: Head Coach Katich
Royal Challengers Bangalore did not have a decent outing against Delhi Capitals, leaving them in the third position in the points table. The team will next be seen in action after a gap of four days, on Saturday against Chennai Super Kings. The break does allow the unit the time to regroup and fix the ‘small mistakes’ captain Virat Kohli talked about in the post-match presentations.
However, RCB’s game against CSK on 10th October will also initiate a frantic period for them as the team will feature in four matches within eight days.
“It is a good time to reflect, let us think about what we can improve upon, according to me it’s a great phase to play as we have back-to-back games if we get some momentum we can really run through some teams. Let’s look forward to our next game, I still feel there is good energy in the group, let us stay calm and come back on Saturday,” said Kohli.
While Virat Kohli looked at the positive side of this, terming it as an opportunity to run through sides during this period, head coach Simon Katich cautioned that these eight days can make or break the tournament for the team.
“In the next phase, we have four games in eight days, it’s going to be tough, this is where we will make or break the tournament. I still want us to be really positive,” Katich told the players after the match.
RCB have collected six points after their five matches and would like to regain the winning form this weekend against the arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings.
