We will provide players NOCs for the IPL: Cricket South Africa
Following the footsteps of NZC, the Cricket South Africa (CSA), announced that they will be granting No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to all its 10 players who are set to play the Indian Premier League.
CSA media manager, Koketso Gaofetogez, revealed that the cricketing body has definitely given the go-ahead signal for the players to take part in the IPL.
"Cricket South Africa will definitely provide players with the NOCs for the Indian Premier League," Gaofetoge told ANI.
The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is scheduled to begin on September 19 with the final on November 8th. IPL Chairman, Brijesh Patel, on Friday, confirmed the reports to Cricbuzz.
Speaking to ANI, the Emirates Cricket Board said that they are awaiting an official statement from the BCCI to organise the tournament in UAE.
"We are awaiting final confirmation from BCCI regarding being the host nation. There is also the final condition of BCCI gaining approval from the Indian government that they can host the IPL outside India," Emirates Cricket Board was quoted as saying in a statement.
This is not the first instance where the Arab country will be organising the T20 blitz. In 2014, UAE hosted the first leg of the tournament, which instantly lured the fans to catch a glimpse of their favourite cricketers.
