Virat Kohli just seems to chase down any score every time: Nasser Hussain
Former England captain and popular commentator Nasser Hussain on Sunday was involved in a Q/A session with the Daily Mail. The 52-year-old was asked to name four cricketers from the past and present whom he would pay to watch. Indian and RCB captain Virat Kohli was the first name on his list.
Revealing the first name on his list, Nasser Hussain picked the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
"Virat Kohli in a 50-over run chase. He (Virat Kohli) just seems to chase down any score every time," he said.
Hussain named former dashing Pakistan opener, Saeed Anwar as his second pick.
"In terms of being easy on the eye, Saeed Anwar (55 Tests and 247 ODIs to his name) had an elegance and grace through the off-side," he said.
The third name in his list was none other than the Windies cricket legend, Brian Lara.
"I didn't captain against him much but I have to say, Brian Lara. Poor Mike Atherton would move a fielder and Lara would almost take the mickey and hit it in the gap where the fielder had been," he said.
With the last and final name for this list, Nasser Hussain named his childhood hero, former England captain David Gower.
"I have to go for my childhood hero David Gower. I remember an early game against Leicestershire and I was at cover point as he leant on one and before I could move it hit the boundary boards behind me. Everything I had admired was there in front of my eyes," he added.
