Virat Kohli is a better white-ball cricketer: Brad Hogg

Cricket is a game that is evolving rapidly, with the limited-over formats of the game grabbing the attention of today’s generation – the Indian national side has two of the biggest names in limited-overs cricket of this era. While nations remain in a standstill amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a debate was started in the world of cricket – who is the better player between Virat Kohli and Steven Smith.

And now a similar debate has begun on social media, which is making some noise recently – “who is the better white-ball cricketer, Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma?”

Brad Hogg uploaded a Q&A video on his official YouTube channel, in which the cricketer weighed in on Kohli vs Rohit debate when a fan questioned, "Who is better at white-ball and why? Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma?"

According to the Former Australia Spinner, Virat Kohli is the better pick in this debate because of his consistency and ability to score important runs in big-run chases, and that's what puts him ahead of Rohit Sharma.

"Well, Virat Kohli, because he's more consistent when India have the big run chases. When India are batting second, he stands up and delivers," Hogg said.

The India and RCB captain, along with his deputy for the men-in-blue and captain of the Mumbai Indians, have revolutionized the game, scoring runs exquisitely every time they step onto the field.

Although Brad Hogg chose Virat Kohli in the above context, he added that you can't compare the two players because they both have different roles to play in the team: "But you really cannot compare the two as they have different roles. Rohit's role is to be aggressive against the new ball bowlers when field restrictions are at their least and Virat's role is to bat through the innings and make sure he's there at the end, so they complement each other."
