If the IPL happens then Cricket Australia should allow players to play: Justin Langer
Australian head coach, Justin Langer is of the opinion that Australia would need to tour England for "health of world cricket." The 49-year-old also feels that his board must allow its top players like Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, and David Warner to play in the IPL if it were to happen.
Speaking to the news agency, the Daily Telegraph on Thursday, Justin Langer said, "I think we have to go to England. There are lots of challenges, of course, but we have to find solutions to make sure that can happen if possible."
He also added that the above was his point of view and is focused on the health of cricket in the world. "That’s my view. I think for the health of world cricket.
After 117 long days, international cricket was finally back, but Day 1 of the first test match between England and the West Indies was cut short, with rain playing spoilsport.
Langer credits the ECB and everyone involved in making this possible in the midst of what is happening in the world at the moment. "If things out of control happen and we can’t end up going, at least we can say we’ve done everything in our power to make it happen."
