The England and Wales Cricket Board [ECB] have made substantial progress in seeking to revive the sport in troubled circumstances.

According to the Daily Mail report, the ECB has allegedly postponed its tour to India, given that the fixtures could coincide with the IPL schedule. On the other hand, the Board of Control for Cricket in India [BCCI] are yet to begin the preparatory camp for its contracted players.

England was scheduled to play a bilateral series against India in September, consisting of 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

While there is a large cloud of uncertainty looming around the fate of the T20 World Cup, the International Cricket [ICC] is expected to deliver a much-awaited verdict later this week.

Earlier this month, the BCCI treasurer, Arun Dhumal, announced that it was high time for the board to begin formulating a roadmap to stage the IPL. Taking into account the latest developments, the BCCI is very much vocal about organizing the IPL during the October-November window.
