Can't wait to join up with RCB; excited to play under Kohli's leadership: Aaron Finch

Australia’s white-ball skipper Aaron Finch has been one of the most sought-after cricketers in the IPL. The Aussie will be playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, his IPL 8th team, in the upcoming season. 

Finch recently opened about the prospect of playing under the leadership of Virat Kohli for RCB. "I know how competitive and driven he is", Finch opined about his assessment of Kohli.

In the IPL auctions for the 13th edition, which were held in December last year, RCB bolstered their batting by buying Aaron Finch, along with names like Joshua Philippe and Chris Morris.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Finch talked about playing alongside Kohli, and what makes the RCB skipper and Australia’s Steve Smith stand out among others in modern day cricket.

"I can't wait to join up with RCB. To get the opportunity to play for a franchise that has some of the greatest players in the world is going to be fun. It would have been amazing to play in front of the home crowd at Chinnaswamy but representing the franchise in UAE will still mean a huge amount to me," Finch said.

This is the first time Finch will play under Kohli and he is looking forward to experiencing Kohli’s competitiveness from close quarters.

"It will be my first time playing under Virat's leadership but something I'm very excited about. Having played against him for a number of years now in international cricket and IPL I know how driven and competitive he is, that something I'm looking forward to seeing up close," added Finch, who holds the record for the highest individual score in a T20I.
