The Royal Challengers Bengaluru return to action after three days of break as they lock horns with a resurgent Delhi Capitals. The last time these two teams collided, Smriti Mandhana played a special knock of 96 runs to propel RCB to a fine win.

Talking on RCB’s latest episode of Game Day, Head Coach Malolan Rangarajan opened up on how it feels to be back from the break and how important the breather was after a hectic schedule. He also made it clear that from hereon, it is not just about playing well but the Royal Challengers want to conclude the group stages at the top of the points table.

Shedding light about returning from the break, Malolan said, “First of all, I think it was a well-deserved break, not only for the players, but the whole squad. We played three games in four days, which included a travel day. So it was a well-deserved break. The result makes it sweeter, absolutely.”

He further added, “Now, when we came back to training we asked to remind the team, the players, of what we're looking forward to doing. It's not about just turning up and playing a game of cricket. We want to finish on top of the table and convincingly. So now our focus has now shifted to DC, what the opponent is, how we can prepare with the conditions in mind.”
