They see the hard work - Radha Yadav on why she enjoys playing for RCB

In the WPL 2025 Mega Auction, RCB signed Radha Yadav for INR 65 lakh. With speculations about how the Royal Challengers were going to use Radha's abilities, the answer came shortly enough. However, keeping aside the on-ground stratagems and shenanigans, the moment when Radha Yadav got to know that she was picked up by the Royal Challengers, there was no dearth of joy for the all-rounder.

Talking on the latest episode of RCB Bold Diaries, Radha Yadav opened up on the emotions which hit her the moment she got to know from Smriti Mandhana that she had been picked up by RCB.

Shedding light on when she came to know that RCB had landed her for WPL 2026, Radha said, “The moment I found out, I got a call. Smriti said, “Radhu, you are in RCB!” And I was like… yes, but I still couldn’t explain it properly. They couldn’t quite believe it either. It was like, is she sad that she is in RCB?”

Radha further added, “I couldn’t express it at all. I just kept saying, “Yes, yes… thank you, thank you,” completely normal, almost blank. Later, I started looking at Virat’s old pictures - the ones I had cut out and saved, all those photos from before. And I kept thinking, Oh my God… I’m going to wear this jersey.”

Adding why RCB was special, Radha said, “Earlier, even when I played in the WPL for another team, I spent an entire season sitting out. That hurt me a lot. But RCB gave me responsibility - and that made me genuinely happy. They really see the hard work. They see what kind of player I want to be and what talent I have right now.”

She continued, “That’s why I think I truly love this team. Whatever this team asks me to do, I’m ready to do it. I’ve danced with Shreyu (Shreyanka), I play video games with Smriti. I still have to beat her though, she hasn’t come yet! It’s been so much fun. When your teammates are your friends, everything becomes easier. And when the staff is like this too, so relaxed, so chilled, it becomes even better. I think that’s why I’m enjoying it so much.”
