The RCB-W almost pulled off a clean sweep at the awards after their triumph in WPL 2024, as apart from Ellyse Perry bagging the Orange Cap, Shreyanka Patil clinched the Purple Cap.

Finishing off as the highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 13 wickets, Patil was instrumental in the grand finale too, claiming four wickets at the expense of a meager 12 runs.

Registering the wickets of Meg Lanning, Minnu Mani, Arundhati Reddy and Taniya Bhatia, Patil cleaned up the Delhi resistance, smoothening the path for RCB’s glory. Even in the last match against DC, she had another four-fer, underlining her brilliance in the bigger stages.

Talking at the post-match conference, Patil addressed quite a few questions and concluded the note with a word of joy, pledging to make everyone rock the dance floor as a part of the special celebrations.

Shedding light on her and Asha Sobhana being called Spin Twins and the team bonding in the dressing room, Shreyanka said, “You can call us like that, we don't mind. We did really work hard, we did have a camp before we played the season. It was amazing to get in touch with everyone and we had amazing team bonding sessions, some drama, some dance and some laughter.”

Shreyanka further added, “They keep saying "ee sala cup namde" and we got it. That's it guys, it is for the fans. Day in and day out we put our hard work and we manifested, we wanted to win this game and show the fans we can do it.”

She concluded by saying, “We felt like family, we did not know Luke much, last game we won against Mumbai, he had tears, we are looking forward to continuing this. We are not going to leave Perry and Luke, they have to dance.”
