The 2016 season with RCB was career-defining for me: KL Rahul

The coronavirus pandemic has brought all the major sporting events to a standstill, and multiple nations have exercised the lockdown procedure to curb down the effect of the outbreak. 

Like many other cricketers, KL Rahul is spending quality time with his family amid the lockdown period. On Sunday, the batsman decided to interact with his fans on the Twitter platform. From questions on how he is coping up with the diet to his favourite IPL memory, KL Rahul answered it all. 

When a fan asked him about his favourite IPL memory, the Karnataka batsman charted out the experience of sharing the dressing room with fellow RCB stars, which eventually helped him evolve into a better cricketer, and most importantly, a better individual.

In 2016, KL Rahul was signed by RCB through the transfer window. In the presence of a multitude of stars in the RCB dressing room, KL Rahul had to ladder up the ranks and carve a niche for himself. The batsman formed the fulcrum of the middle-order, scoring 397 runs at an average of 44.1 from 14 matches.

The Karnataka batsman also shared his affinity with the Bengaluru franchise, and the fans were left ecstatic by the response.

When asked about his favourite venue, KL Rahul remarked that he loves playing at his home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Quite evidently, the 28-year-old added that Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) holds a special place in his heart - 110 against Australia, his first of many illustrative knocks for India.

KL credits AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli for his transformation in the white-ball cricket. As the years progressed, KL Rahul has portrayed several match-winning performances and has firmly cemented his place in the Indian side.
