We're doing a job for the team – Phil Salt on RCB’s collective strength in IPL 2026

RCB have registered three wins from their first four games. Apart from the shows of individual brilliance, the team has banked upon collective showdowns which has got them all primed to shoot for the pole position of the points table tonight.

RCB opener, Phil Salt, opened up on how teamwork has led to success for them so far. Not just this year but he also highlighted how different heroes emerged last season in different games, thereby expanding RCB’s horizon of attackers.

Talking on RCB Game Day, Salt said, “It's a very strong band here, we know it. I think one of the strengths of us as a unit, you know, there's no selfish players in the team. We all know that we're doing a job for the team. And I think that's served us well over a period of time now. And also, everybody's put their hand up.”

Shedding light about RCB’s imminent clash, Salt said, “I think the Player of the Match (awards) in last year was evidence of that. I think that makes for a pretty good combination for any team in T20 cricket really. LSG has got some dangerous players. Hopefully we come out on the right side of it.”
