Shreyanka Patil had a tough day in the office as the Delhi Capitals came hard at her in the WPL 2026 season. However, throughout the tournament, she was brilliant, claiming 11 wickets. This was a very special season for Patil as she was returning from a prolonged injury. RCB showed faith in her as they retained her alongside Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh.

Talking in a post-match interview, Shreyanka Patil opened up on the raw feelings of the triumph and how special this season was for her. She also underlined how the team bonding in the RCB echelons was crucial in putting up the collective brilliance to lift the title.

Shedding light about her comeback and the fans who came to Baroda to support RCB, Shreyanka said, “It's very special for me because my comeback WPL season this is. Couldn't have asked for something more and better. Lovely crowd here, they supported us throughout, no matter what. 200 on the scoreboard, they just had that faith and had that belief in us.”

She further added, “And they made us feel so special today. I thank each and every member who has come to Baroda and cheered us. And people who're watching us in Bangalore and whole Karnataka, I would like to say big thanks to you guys.”

Revealing her chat with Arundhati Reddy during the innings break, Shrey said, “After the first innings got over, me and Aru (Arundhati Reddy) were walking towards the dugout and were like "I think we're going to pull this off.””

She concluded by talking about the environment in the dressing room, stating, “We had that very positive environment in the dugout. When we came we sat here, everyone's laughing, everyone's having fun, everyone's cheering for each and every run we score. That's how the dugout has been throughout the season. Though we win, we lose, we never stop smiling. That's what has got us here.”
