We love batting with each other – Smriti Mandhana on her chemistry with Richa Ghosh
Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh knitted together an 83-run stand for the second wicket in a clash between Manchester and Brave in the ongoing English 100-ball contest. Ghosh scored 54 off 34 balls while Mandhana racked up 46 off 36 balls. A new chapter of dominance was written by the famed RCB duo as Manchester secured a solid win in Southampton.
Talking in a post-match interview, Smriti Mandhana opened up on how she loves to bat alongside Richa Ghosh. Also the chemistry the two share is nothing short of sparkling.
Lauding the partnership between the two, Smriti said, “It was amazing. I think we batted after a very long time. We love batting with each other. We played a lot of cricket together back at home with the Indian team, RCB and all the domestic stuff. So really happy with the way she (Richa) batted today. I mean it wasn’t the easiest wicket to bat but you know when Richa is on 20, it’s a scary place for the opposition.”
Manchester secured a 27-run win over Brave, thanks to the brilliant partnership between Smriti and Richa while Mady Villiers pulled off a great shift with the ball.
