The key bit is assessing the conditions and adapting – Mo Bobat
RCB will play their Go Green game in less than a few hours, locking horns with the formidable Delhi Capitals. With four wins from five games, morale is at an all-time high for RCB and Patidar and company will look to return to the top of the points table with a win against the Capitals.
Speaking on RCB Game Day, the Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat discussed how the team is set for the upcoming clash and what the key focus will be going forward.
Bobat said, “It's handy having a long lead-in in home conditions, handy having the first two games at home because you can start to get into a bit of a flow. But again, we saw last year that we had a really good away record and that was us having to adapt very quickly with every venue we went to.”
He further added, “The key bit is assessing the conditions and adapting. Any team tries to pay attention to how they're going to play on their own home conditions. Ultimately you want to play as well as you can in the next game, and you play a number of games at home, so play as well as you can there.”
Bobat concluded by talking about the team’s immediate objective, stating, “That's our focus. Quite consistently over the last couple of years, we've tried to spend a lot of energy on trying to make sure that we play the way we want to play. We've got a lot of capability in this team and it's the coach's job and the leadership job to try and get the best out of those players.”
