The bowlers put in a good shift – Mo Bobat on RCB’s fighting bowling performance against GT

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru faltered against Gujarat Titans in their latest IPL outing. The batters failed to conjure anything brilliant, but the bowlers, spearheaded by Bhuvneshwar Kumar were absolutely sensational. RCB’s Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat opened up on the areas RCB needs to work on while plotting the blueprint for RCB’s next clash against LSG in six days.

Talking on RCB Post Match Dressing Room Chat, Bobat said, “Yeah, look, it's a disappointing result. Not the result we wanted coming here and not by the performance we wanted either. You don't win too many games with scores like that. So the batting group will know that we are capable of better.”

Explicating the game in details, Bobat added, “The pleasing and encouraging thing is obviously the bowlers put in a good shift in again today. I thought Bhuvi again was awesome. Good to see Romario find a little bit of rhythm too. So we made them fight. So I think that's an important thing to do when you have games like this, which is a healthy sign at this stage of the competition.”

Mo further added, “We're not going to win every game, we know that. But the games where you come out second best, you've got to make the opposition really fight for that win. I think we did that. So we need to lick our wounds. We've got a few days off.”

He concluded by saying, “We need to come back a little bit sharper probably than we were today. We've had to look now. So again, another important away game for us. A ground where we've played a couple of games last year, so hopefully we can adapt to conditions quickly. And hopefully we can put in another good performance and get some more points on the board.”
