The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be locked and loaded as they cross paths against Mumbai Indians in the WPL season opener.

RCB has brought in some serious reinforcements ahead of the season with big names like Georgia Voll, Grace Harris, Arundhati Reddy and Linsey Smith coming in. One can expect this to be a full-blown cracker as WPL gets underway from today evening.

Here's a quick look at the numbers that set the tone for RCB ahead of the curtain-raiser:

·      RCB has totted up the highest team score against Mumbai Indians. They racked up 199 runs in 2025, securing a clinical win by 11 runs.

·      RCB holds the record of the second-biggest win against Mumbai while batting first. Their 11-run victory falls just next to Delhi Capitals’ win by 29 runs. They are also fourth in the list of the biggest wins registered against Mumbai while chasing, as they beat Mumbai by seven wickets in 2024.

·      Ellyse Perry has got the most runs for RCB and overall as well against Mumbai Indians with a tally of 322 runs. Grace Harris and Richa Ghosh are next in line with 179 and 178 runs respectively, stationed in the fourth and fifth position of the list.

·      Ellyse Perry’s 74 still stands as the highest individual score against MI in WPL. Dayalan Hemalatha’s 74 is the third highest on the list.

·      Ellyse Perry is the leading wicket-taker for RCB against MI with 10 wickets. Shreyanka Patil has got five in her tally as well.

·      Perry’s 6/15 still remains to be the best bowling figures against MI in the antiquity of the tournament.

·      Richa Ghosh has affected the most number of dismissals as a wicket-keeper, standing tall atop the heap with four dismissals.

·      Smriti Mandhana has got hands as safe as houses, especially when it comes against Mumbai Indians as she stands tall with six catches which is the joint-highest claimed against Mumbai Indians.

·      Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh’s 76-run unbeaten stand is the highest for RCB against Mumbai Indians which came in WPL 2024.
