RCB to take on MI in WPL 2026 season opener as BCCI announce full schedule
The WPL 2026 season is set to start with a blockbuster clash between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians which is scheduled for Friday, January 9th in Navi Mumbai.
The league phase will run from January 9th to February 1st, with fixtures split between two venues in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara, before the Eliminator (February 3rd) and grand final (February 5th) will round out the season in Vadodara.
RCB’s league campaign features eight matches - four in Navi Mumbai and four in Vadodara. After the opening clash against Mumbai Indians, RCB stay in Navi Mumbai for three more games, playing host to the UP Warriorz (January 12th) and Gujarat Giants (January 16th), before a matchup against the Delhi Capitals on January 17th.
The caravan then moves to Vadodara, where RCB take on Gujarat Giants on January 19th before they host the Delhi Capitals on January 24th, play the Mumbai Indians again on January 26th, and round off the league phase against UP Warriorz on January 29th.
The business end of WPL 2026 will unfold entirely in Vadodara, with the Eliminator scheduled for February 3rd and the summit clash set for February 5th, 2026.
