RCB Bold Diaries: Andy Flower explains the new coaching set-up and how it can be helpful for RCB

As RCB had their first practice session ahead of IPL 2025, RCB’s head coach, Andy Flower, greeted everyone with a very special welcome message. In the latest episode of RCB Bold Diaries, he shared his thoughts on what he genuinely feels for the franchise.

Flower said, “A very warm welcome to everyone. I’m very proud to represent RCB and I’m sure you guys feel the same way. It’s nice to see old and new faces here.: He also congratulated Swapnil Singh on having a little kid while also echoing the same sentiment for Rajat Patidar on being the RCB captain.

Flower continued, “Part of us getting on the same page is getting together in our first practice here this afternoon. It’s brilliant to get together with the boys. A few of the staff got in a few days ago. Most of the boys got in yesterday. We have had a good turnout here for this first practice. Yeah’ it is really exciting to have a new leader who is a young exciting Indian prospect.”

Shedding some light on the coaching team, Flower said, “We’ve got a slightly different coaching team. We got DK as our mentor and batting specialist. We have got Omkar Salvi as our first bowling coach. So there’s a change there as we wanted a little more Indian influence in our coaching group. I think that’s a really healthy thing for all of us but particularly our players.”
