Rajat Patidar, Devdutt Padikkal named in India A squads for Australia A series

BCCI announced the squad for India A’s upcoming series against Australia A which will be featuring two four-day Tests and three one-day games slated to be played from September 22nd to October 11th.

RCB’s hard-hitting southpaw, Devdutt Padikkal, who is going through a dream run, will be leading India A in the four-day Tests.

B Sai Sudharsan will be the deputy to Padikkal for the four-day games against Australia. Padikkal will also be the vice-captain for the One-dayers, in which Ruturaj Gaikwad will be leading the side.
In what will be a major return, Hardik Pandya has been added to the squad for the One Day games, but subject to his fitness clearance.

Apart from Devdutt Padikkal, RCB captain, Rajat Patidar, was also picked for the One Day games, enriching India-A’s batting depth.

The entire series will be played in Puducherry and will be starting with a four-day unofficial Test on September 22nd. The second four-day game will begin on September 29th. The one-day games will be played on October 6th, 9th and 11th.

One-Day squad: Priyansh Arya, Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal (vice-capt), Ruturaj Gaikwad (capt), Rajat Patidar, Kumar Kushagra (wk), Nishant Sindhu, Vipraj Nigam, Arshin Kulkarni, Arshad Khan, Naman Dhir, Hardik Pandya (subject to fitness clearance), Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Gurjapneet Singh, Yash Thakur.
