India set sights on a clean sweep of Zimbabwe in T20I series

With the T20I series already sealed against Zimbabwe, India will once again be stepping onto the battlefield for the last T20I in Harare. The Men in Blue secured the T20I series with a dominant 90-run win against Zimbabwe, courtesy of another incredible performance.

Performances from Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma helped India post a staggering total. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi got a start but couldn’t convert it, stoking up the hopes of another commanding performance. However, the Men in Blue will be hoping that Abhishek Sharma gets back to scoring runs after a couple of false starts in the ongoing series.

Zimbabwe, on the contrary, will have to introspect harder after their batters faltered twice in two consecutive games. With the top-order struggling to come together in sync, they might opt for a few changes to the batting order while also bringing in a couple of changes.

At the post-match presentation of the second T20I, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer hinted at a couple of changes, one of which might be forced after Prince Yadav injured himself in the clash. With a possible flurry of changes to the playing combination for both the sides, one can expect renewed vim and vigour in the series finale.

Venue Watch:

The surface has been massively conducive to the batters and the second T20I witnessed the ball coming nicely onto the bat. This would only mean that one can expect the series finale to be a high-scoring affair. The new ball would have its movement but as soon as the lacquer starts coming off, batters should be able to dictate the equation.
