Ellyse Perry to miss WPL 2026 due to personal reasons

Ace Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has pulled out of the upcoming edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) due to personal reasons. Perry will be replaced in the RCB squad by Indian seam-bowling all-rounder Sayali Satghare, who has been roped in for her base price of INR 30 lakhs.

Satghare, who plays for Mumbai in the domestic circuit, is known for her ability to swing the new ball. The pace-bowling all-rounder has represented India across three ODIs, apart from playing four matches in the WPL as well.

Perry, RCB’s highest run-scorer in WPL history, was retained for INR 2 Crore by the franchise ahead of the Mega Auction. However, her absence from WPL 2026 means RCB now have five overseas players in the squad - namely Lauren Bell, Grace Harris, Georgia Voll, Nadine de Klerk and Linsey Smith.
