Devdutt Padikkal ruled out of IPL 2025; Mayank Agarwal named as replacement

Devdutt Padikkal will miss the remainder of IPL 2025 due to a hamstring injury, with RCB naming Mayank Agarwal named as the left-hander's replacement for the rest of the season.

Padikkal, who essayed the role of an impact player for RCB this season, scored 247 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 150.60, including two fifties.

Agarwal will be entering his second stint with RCB, with the right-hander, who has 2661 runs at a strike rate of 133.05 in the IPL, having previously represented the franchise from 2011-2013.

RCB have enjoyed a decent outing in the season so far, with eight wins from 11 matches, including wins from all their away games in IPL 2025 and play their next match against the Lucknow Super Giants on May 9th.
