Always stay true to who you are – AB de Villiers' special message for Rajat Patidar

In less than three days, RCB start their IPL 2025 campaign and the first match is going to be against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. Rajat Patidar has been named as RCB captain for the season, and he will have quite a few leaders in the team who he could rely on for support.

Ahead of the season commencing, RCB Hall of Famer AB de Villiers had a very special message for Patidar, apart from mentioning that the latter won't have it easy with lingering questions laced with little doubt, but he can work his way through to the top.

Talking to JioStar, ABD said, “Patidar's biggest challenge will be insecurity, stepping into the big boots of captains like Faf and Virat. Having Virat around and constantly almost doubting yourself - 'Am I doing the right thing? What would Virat do?' So that I think will be his biggest obstacle. Use the experience of Virat, use the experience of [head coach] Andy Flower, but always stay true to who you are."
