5 RCB players named in India’s squad for ICC Women’s World Cup 2026
Harmanpreet Kaur was named as skipper of the Indian squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, with Smriti picked as her deputy.
India’s batting department boasts the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Kaur herself and the explosive Richa Ghosh as the regulars. Apart from the starry contenders, India would also have the services of Bharti Fulmali and Yastika Bhatia if they want to go deep with their batting.
Significant names for the Women in Blue will be buoying their bowling unit which will be spearheaded by Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh. Alongside the two seasoned campaigners, the squad will be buoyed by the presence of Radha Yadav, Kranti Gaud, Shreyanka Patil and Arundhati Reddy.
Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Arundhati Reddy, Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav are the five RCB represents who would be a part of the World Cup squad in England. India will be starting their journey on 14th June where they will be battling it out against Pakistan.
India has been placed in Group A of the tournament, clubbed alongside Australia, Bangladesh, Netherlands and South Africa. The tournament will be starting from 12th June where England will be meeting Sri Lanka in the curtain-raiser.
